TAKE A SECOND LOOK

The Brockton Police recently got a report about someone using fake money during a store purchase.

These bills can look like real $100 notes at first, so be sure to check them carefully.

The bills are marked "MOTION PICTURE PURPOSES" and "NOT LEGAL TENDER."

We want to remind everyone, especially businesses that handle cash, to take a few extra seconds to check larger bills before accepting them.

If something seems off, take another look. Spending a few extra seconds could save you $100.

SERVING OUR SENIORS

Today, the Shaw’s Center was packed as the Brockton Council on Aging held its annual Senior Picnic!

The Brockton Police traded their usual duties for serving duties for a little while, helping serve lunch, visiting with our seniors, and handing out gifts.

The highlight of the afternoon was spending time together, sharing laughs, and catching up with all those familiar faces.

We would like to thank the Brockton Council on Aging for organizing another excellent event and for giving us the opportunity to take part.

Congratulations to our second graduating class of the 2026 Brockton Junior Police Cadet Program!

These young people wrapped up our second summer session after spending time learning about policing, teamwork, leadership and service to the community. And having a little fun along the way!

From new experiences and new friendships to graduation day, we hope they made some memories they'll carry with them long after the summer is over.

Congratulations to Sgt. Robert DiLiddo and K-9 Kilo!
The Brockton Police Department is proud to congratulate K-9 Supervisor Sgt. Robert DiLiddo and his partner, Kilo, who were honored on the field at Fenway Park before Tuesday night's Red Sox game.

Sgt. DiLiddo was recognized for his leadership of the department's K-9 Program and for his work helping train first responders under Nero's Law, ensuring that working police K-9s receive the emergency care they deserve when every second counts.

Anyone who knows Sgt. DiLiddo knows the passion he brings to caring for and training police K-9s. This recognition reflects the work he's done over many years, not only with Kilo, but with countless officers, handlers, and other first responders.

A special thank you to VEG ER for for this meaningful recognition and for their continued support of the men, women, and K-9s who serve our communities.

As Sgt. DiLiddo put it best:
"I'm just a guy at the end of the leash. Kilo's doing all this."
