A LOADED GUN OFF THE STREETS
It started with a call about an armed robbery Wednesday night. It ended with an arrest and a loaded gun recovered.

Just before 9 p.m., Brockton Police responded to the Montello Street area after a 64-year-old man reported being attacked and robbed by a group of individuals. One of them allegedly pulled a knife. The victim suffered a minor injury.

As officers searched the neighborhood, detectives spotted a teenager matching the description of one of the suspects. When detectives approached, he took off running.

They caught up with him after a foot pursuit. A search along the route led to the discovery of a loaded 9mm handgun with 12 rounds of am******on.

The 17-year-old faces armed robbery and several fi****ms charges.

This was a team effort, from the patrol officers who responded to the original call to the detectives who tracked down a suspect and recovered the gun.

One less loaded gun on our streets.

The investigation is ongoing.

STOLEN SATURDAY. RECOVERED WEDNESDAY.

A fi***rm stolen in North Attleborough over the weekend turned up Wednesday morning during a joint law enforcement investigation in the City of Brockton .

Brockton Police detectives and federal agents executed a search warrant at a Newton Street apartment, where they recovered a 9mm semiautomatic with a large-capacity magazine and am******on.

The gun was one of five reported stolen in North Attleborough on October 3rd.

Police arrested 26-year-old Antoine Montrond of Brockton on multiple gun charges and for receiving stolen property.

The investigation involved the Brockton Police Narcotics Unit, FBI Metro Boston Gang Task Force, and ATF.

A stolen, loaded fi***rm is now out of circulation. That's one less gun that can be used to threaten lives in our community.

FOUR JUVENILES ARRESTED. A LOADED STOLEN GUN SEIZED

Brockton Police responded to Davis Commons Friday afternoon after reports of a large fight and individuals with guns. Several people ran when officers arrived, leading to foot pursuits into a wooded area behind the complex.

Police recovered a loaded 9mm handgun that had been reported stolen and arrested four juveniles. Charges include illegal fi***rm possession, assault with a dangerous weapon, receiving stolen property, interfering with police, and drug possession with intent to distribute.

RESIDENTS REPORTED PROBLEMS: POLICE RESPONDED IN KIND

People living at the Chateaux Westgate Condominiums reported ongoing drug activity, package thefts, prostitution, and gun violence linked to one apartment on Oak Lane.

After a two-month investigation, Brockton Police officers from the Strategic Crime Reduction and Narcotics units carried out a search warrant this morning at 107 Oak Lane.

Police seized illegal am******on in several calibers and found crack co***ne and other suspected drugs. Police arrested three people during the operation.

Residents and building staff thanked the officers for dealing with the ongoing issues.

Residents spoke. We listened. And officers followed through.

Our Brockton Police officers were serving up more than dinner Thursday night at Texas Roadhouse!

From delivering food to sharing laughs and making new friends, our Tip-A-Cop fundraiser brought everyone together in support of Special Olympics Massachusetts.

BROCKTON POLICE ARREST SUSPECT IN WHITE AVENUE STABBING

A 34-year-old man from the City of Brockton allegedly stabbed two men Wednesday afternoon, and Brockton Police arrested him in connection with the incident.

Police arrested John Tamulevich today and charged him with two counts of Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon.

The incident began near Finnegan Park shortly before 4:23 p.m. Wednesday. Officers responded to 24 White Avenue, found two injured men, and emergency medical services took them to local hospitals with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening.

THE COMPLAINTS HAVEN’T GONE UNHEARD.

Residents have raised concerns about activity around Mulberry Park, including after the park’s posted closing hours. Brockton Police have been conducting targeted enforcement in the area as part of a broader effort to address quality-of-life and public nuisance issues across the city.

Friday night, officers responded to a disturbance at the park. Most people complied and left when asked. Officers arrested two men, 21-year-old Silas Mendes and 27-year-old Jose Andrade Monteiro, and charged them with trespassing, disorderly conduct, and disturbing the peace.

Officers remained in the area and continued addressing additional activity.

This isn’t about one call or one night. Quality of life matters, and recurring problems take continued attention.

We hear you. We’re paying attention. And we’re taking action.
