Darlene Marshall, Director appreciated the Mengle Memorial Library (Brockway) being recognized at the Statewide Gathering for Office of Commonwealth Libraries on May 29, 2026. Heather Warren Smith, Early Childhood Services Advisor presented Darlene with a beautiful geranium in honor of the momentous occasion.

The Sykesville Public Library is currently accepting LEGO donations of any kind, whether new or gently used. If your family is spring cleaning, downsizing, or simply looking to pass along outgrown sets, we would be grateful to give those bricks a new life in the hands of our young builders. Well-loved is more than welcome—there’s no need to purchase anything brand new for us. Every donation helps support creative play, learning, and imagination in our community.

The Mengle Memorial Library Board invites you to join us on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at 4 pm. In memory of James Sterrett we will be dedicating our genealogy room for his many years of support and service. This event will be held at our library on 324 Main Street, Brockway, PA 15824.
