Last week, several students from the Criminal Justice class had the opportunity to tour the North Central Unit with the Arkansas Department of Corrections in Calico Rock as part of a career exploration experience. Students were able to gain insight into the operations, responsibilities, and career opportunities within the correctional system. Afterwards, they were treated to lunch at Between the Buns. Thank you to the Izard County STEM School District for providing this valuable opportunity to our Criminal Justice students!

Congratulations to one of our middle school teachers, Mrs. Courtney Sanders and her family for being named 2026 Izard County Farm Family of the Year! Courtney and her her husband, Nathan, are the parents of ICC alumnae, Lilly Felton and Dayka Lock, as well as current 9th grader, Xander Lock. Congrats to all of you!

Congratulations to our Field Day Champions — a tie between the 8th and 9th grades! 🏆

A huge thank you goes out to our teachers and administrators for pitching in and helping make the day such a success for our students. Days like these take teamwork, and we appreciate everyone who helped make it fun, organized, and memorable!

Special shoutout to Cougar Station for pizza lunch to reward Atlas proficiency and to 3 Sisters Blue Elephant Shaved Ice for the delicious sno cones celebrating Atlas growth! 🍕🍧

These are the highlights of our 4-H and FFA Show Team at the 2026 Izard County Cattle Battle this weekend! We had 15 students exhibit cattle at this show, and we are so proud of the hard work and success they achieved in the ring.

Our FFA Officer Team also worked hard running the concession stand throughout the event, and a special thank you goes to our FFA Reporter, Maddie Tanner, for providing the pictures for this post! 📸

On Tuesday, May 12 at 6:00 PM, we will honor the accomplishments, hard work, and dedication of our 2025-2026 Cougar athletes during our Athletic Banquet and Awards Ceremony.

All athletes in grades 7-12 and their families are invited to attend as we recognize the memories, milestones, and successes from this school year. We look forward to celebrating together!

Who’s Who: Middle/High School Edition! 🎉

We almost forgot to share the student and staff votes for our middle and high school “Who’s Who!” It was a great Teacher Appreciation Week, and we truly believe we have the very best educators in the Izard County STEM School District.

From the classroom to the hallways, our teachers make a difference every single day through their hard work, encouragement, creativity, and care for students. Celebrating them any way we can is something we’ll always be excited to do!

Thank you to our amazing staff for everything you pour into our students and school community. We appreciate you more than words can say! 🖤
