NOTICE OF 2026 POLE INSPECTIONS
Custer Public Power District has contracted with SBS Inspection, Inc. to inspect and treat approximately 8,000 distribution poles as part of the District’s ongoing pole inspection and maintenance program.
Inspection work will occur in areas served by the Arnold, Brosius, Garfield, and North Platte substations. Work is expected to begin in early May and continue until completed.

Customers and landowners may notice contractor vehicles, including pickups and ATVs, in pastures and fields as crews working on behalf of Custer Public Power District inspect and treat poles. Crews will access poles located on private property and will excavate around the base of poles as part of the inspection and treatment process.

Contract crews will carry identification and are aware they may be working around livestock. Crews have been instructed to respect private property and fences and to leave gates as they are found (open or closed).

Custer Power is keeping the fire fighters and families in the way of the Pressey Park fire in prayers and thoughts.

Our crews are out. They are working with the fire department and those affected by the fire.
