BBPS HIT WITH COSTLY INTERNET PAYMENT FRAUD. Broken Bow Public Schools announced this morning that they have been the victim of internet fraud involving payment to the contractor of the construction. Superintendent Darren Tobey and Board President Tom Osmond met with media representatives this morning to provide information. "We want to be very transparent with this," Tobey said. Earlier this year, a payment of $1.8 million was mistakenly sent to a fraudulent account. Of that, $700,000 has been recovered. The investigation includes the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Nebraska State Patrol and the U.S. Secret Service and is on going. See the press release (image).

🔴 The main gym floor was installed and staining is happening soon
🔴 Graphics and signage are getting completed
🔴 CTE Building work is progressing
🔴 Renovations on the high school have begun

PROJECT UPDATE!
🔴 The secure main entrance and offices are almost complete. Final finishes and touch ups ongoing.
🔴 Gym equipment is being installed and the new wood floor is being prepped.
🔴 Theatre and stage electrical work and finishes ongoing.
🔴 New CTE building electrical, plumbing, and mechanical work ongoing. Final coat of paint starting next week.
🔴 Demolition of the next phase of construction is scheduled to start once school is out.
