Florida FFA is pleased to announce the inductees for the 2026 Florida FFA Hall of Fame. The Florida FFA Hall of Fame began in 2007 to pay tribute to those outstanding individuals who have helped make Florida FFA the premier youth leadership organization in the state. The support from these four individuals and others have helped Florida FFA become home to more than 65,000 FFA members in more than 350 FFA chapters across the state. FFA members are engaged in a wide range of agricultural education activities, leading to more than 300 professional career opportunities in the agricultural industry.
Some of the contributions of this year’s Florida FFA Hall of Fame inductees are as follows:
GLENN ALEXANDER dedicated 43 years to teaching agricultural education at Grand Ridge School, leaving a lasting impact on generations of students, the local community, and the school’s FFA program. Known for his engaging teaching style and mentorship, he inspired many students to pursue careers in agriculture, from farming to service through IFAS Extension. His influence extended beyond the classroom, creating a multigenerational FFA legacy within his own family and among former students who continue to lead and serve in the organization. Widely respected and recognized across the community, his greatest contribution to Florida FFA was his lifelong passion for inspiring young people and preserving the traditions of agricultural education. He truly lived the FFA motto until his passing in July 2022.
MICHELLE WALKER-CRAWFORD has dedicated her career to advancing Florida FFA and agricultural education through impactful service at the local, state, and national levels. Over more than 15 years, she held key leadership roles with Florida FFA, served on national and state task forces shaping awards and curriculum standards, and supported youth through her work on a local Fair Board. A trailblazer in governance, she made history as the first woman elected Chair of the Florida FFA Board of Directors and was part of the inaugural Florida Agricultural Teachers Leadership Program. Her lifelong commitment to service, mentorship, and innovation has strengthened programs, elevated students, and left a lasting legacy within Florida FFA.
CALVIN "BUDDY" MILLS transformed the Yearling Middle School agriculture program and FFA Chapter after joining the school in 2001, building an elite and highly competitive middle school program grounded in hard work, service, and leadership. Drawing on a lifetime of agricultural industry experience, he inspired countless students to pursue FFA, leading to numerous state-winning CDE and LDE teams and producing future Florida FFA State Officers. Even after his retirement, Mills has remained deeply involved with Okeechobee FFA, mentoring teachers and students, coaching teams, and volunteering at events. He currently serves as president of the Okeechobee FFA Alumni, continuing his lifelong commitment to developing students and strengthening FFA across the community.
MARCIA SMITH has devoted her life to agricultural education and FFA, beginning as a student leader at Bronson High School and continuing through a distinguished teaching career spanning more than three decades. She taught and advised at Santa Fe High School, Williston Middle School, and Bronson Middle-High School, mentoring multiple state FFA officers, coaching top-performing CDE & LDE teams, and guiding students to state and national recognition. A respected leader beyond the classroom, she contributed to national FFA curriculum efforts, presented professional workshops, and was named Teacher of the Year in 2020. Even after retiring in 2021, she continues to support student success as a College & Career Coach, leaving a legacy of mentorship, leadership and service.
The Florida FFA Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place during the 98th Florida FFA State Convention & Expo, June 15-19, 2026 in Orlando.
