Park Notice

Some tree removal and cleanup work has recently been completed in the park to remove dead or hazardous trees and to prepare the area for the upcoming park improvement project. Please be aware that there may be some remaining debris, uneven ground, or ruts in the area. We ask that everyone use caution when visiting the park and be mindful of these conditions as work continues. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to improve our community park.

The City of Bronson would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the Fort Scott Area Community Foundation and the Shepherd Family Endowment Fund, both administered through the Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas, for their generous support of the Dawson Field Upgrades.

Thanks to this grant, we were able to purchase new infield clay, helping improve the playing surface for our athletes and everyone who enjoys our community ball field. Investments like these make a lasting difference and help us continue providing safe, quality recreational facilities for our youth and families.

The Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas hosts charitable funds established by individuals and families who are passionate about giving back to their communities. Grants from these funds support projects and organizations throughout Southeast Kansas and beyond.

Attention Bronson Residents:

Beginning Wednesday, July 8, 2026, crews from Jim Radell Construction will be working in various areas of Bronson on behalf of Craw-Kan Telephone Cooperative.

Residents may notice construction crews and equipment in alleys and along some streets as work progresses. Please keep all alleys and rights-of-way clear of vehicles, trailers, equipment, and other obstructions to allow the crews to complete their work safely and efficiently.

Please use caution when traveling near work areas and be mindful of any temporary disruptions.
