This year’s World Asthma Day theme reinforces that every person with asthma, including most pre-school children with asthma, should receive inhaled medicine no matter their economic status. These medicines are essential for controlling the underlying disease and treating attacks.

BILS staff explain the dangers of Intro 303. This bill would harm individuals with disabilities who require 24 hour care and cause individuals with disabilities to not get the proper care they need and risk them ending up in institutions. We ask our elected officials to work with us and the community on a sensible solution that doesn’t cause a crisis.

Tension is rising at City Hall as lawmakers consider banning 24‑hour home health aide shifts, a proposal supporters say would protect workers but that disability advocates warn could threaten the lives and independence of those who rely on round‑the‑clock care.
