Mondays and Fridays, we travel to your local library! We are so grateful to partner with Holland Public Library & The Brimfield Public Library!!

Such a great opportunity for families to visit your local library, connect with other children and caregivers, and learn together! 📚💛

Our FREE Storytime groups welcome children ages 0–6 with a caregiver, from our littlest friends enjoying lap sit to our bigger preschoolers getting ready for school. Being around children of different ages gives little ones wonderful opportunities to socialize, observe, learn from one another, and build confidence.

And there is SO much learning happening while they’re having fun! Through stories, songs, movement, activities, and play, children are exposed to thousands of new words and vocabulary while practicing important skills that align with what they’ll eventually use in school — fine motor, gross motor, early literacy and reading, communication, social-emotional skills, following directions, taking turns, and so much more.

Family Foundations 5 is also here as a resource for caregivers. We provide developmental screenings, referrals, family resources, and connections to local programs and schools.

We are an EEC-funded CFCE program through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts serving the Tantasqua Regional/Union 61 School District, helping build that bridge between families and the school system from birth. ❤️

For anyone who may not know about us yet, we’d love to introduce ourselves! 📚✏️

Family Foundations 5 CFCE is funded through the Massachusetts Department of Early Education & Care (EEC) to provide FREE programs, resources and support to families throughout the Tantasqua Regional/Union 61 District.

We offer playgroups, educational programs, developmental support, parenting resources, community connections and more for families with children ages 0–6 with a caregiver - always at NO cost to families!

Some groups require preregistration, while many are drop-in. We post our schedules monthly AND weekly on Facebook, so follow Family Foundations 5 CFCE to keep up with where we’ll be and what’s coming next!

Whether you’ve been joining us for years or have never heard of us before, we’d love to welcome you and your little ones! 💝👏🏼

I can’t believe we’re already heading into September! 🍎🍂 We are SO excited to kick off a brand new year in our new classroom, with some of our returning favorite groups and lots of brand new ones to explore!

A quick registration update:

🚀 Takeoff Tuesday is FULL!
✏️We still have a couple of spots available for Explore + More on Thursdays. Spots are first come, first serve, so email [email protected] to sign up!

📚Everything else on our September calendar is drop-in, so just come join us!

This six-week playgroup is geared toward children ages 0–6 with a caregiver and will be a fun mix of stories, arts & crafts, music, hands-on activities, creativity, and open play! Each week will bring something a little different to explore together. 🌈

We’re excited to introduce Takeoff Tuesdays: Getting Ready for Kindergarten! ⭐

This fun, hands-on 6-week group is geared toward children ages 3–5 and will focus on building confidence, independence, early literacy and math skills, fine motor skills, social skills, following directions, and more… all while learning through PLAY! 🧩✏️✨

You guys… we have officially MOVED CLASSROOMS! 🥹✨

Our new space is definitely a little smaller, which means many of our groups will need to be pre-registered this year, so keep your eyes peeled for registration links! 👀 But it is such a lovely little space, and we are so excited to make it our own.

And speaking of space… 🚀🪐✨ that’s our new classroom theme!

We’ll spend our first week or two creating space-themed art and decorations together to fill our new learning space, and we are SO SO SO excited to see all of our little friends again!

Our regular groups officially begin the week of September 14th, but we just can’t wait that long… so we’re having a POP-UP ART DAY this Wednesday, September 2nd at 9:00 AM! 🎨

☀️ What a fun summer it has been with our Family Foundations 5 families! We have loved getting to see so many familiar faces, meet new friends, and spend these summer days playing, learning, and making memories together. 💛

We have SO many exciting things planned for this year, so keep your eyes peeled! 👀✨ Our regular programming will officially kick off the first FULL week after Labor Day, but you won’t have to wait quite that long to see us!

We’ll have a few fun pop-up groups happening before then, including one in our NEW classroom at Brookfield Elementary School! 🎉🏫 We can’t wait to welcome you into our new space!

Enjoy these last sweet days of summer, and stay tuned… there’s lots of Family Foundations 5 fun ahead! 💚💙
