🎲 Roll & Say Letter Sound Game 🐸🚒

Draw a simple game board onto cardboard, add toy figures, and have kids roll the dice, move their piece, and say the letter sound they land on ❤️

Such a fun hands-on literacy game for preschool, kindergarten, or reading centers 🎉

We can't believe that in a few short weeks some of these kiddos we have played and grown with since they were babies will be entering their last summer before KINDERGARTEN! 😫 But they are beyond ready!

Heads up / reminder to our Brimfield Library story time friends - next Monday, 5/11, the library will be CLOSED due to the antique market, therefore no story time. Our final of the year will be the following Monday, then we break for some behind the scenes work & changes and will see you hopefully for a pop up this summer!! 📚🌈

CFCE is so much more than story times and playgroups! (Bet you didn't know that!)

We are a vital connection point between families, schools, early education programs, community resources, and the state... working together to support children and caregivers from the very beginning and funded by the EEC.

Through engaging family programs, school readiness support, parent education, developmental resources, community partnerships, and family advocacy, we help empower caregivers as their child’s first and most important teacher.

Our programs are designed to create meaningful opportunities for families to learn, connect, grow, and build strong foundations together.

🌳Happy Arbor Day! 🌳 Arbor Day is celebrated on the last Friday in April, although some states observe it on dates that better coincide with the local area’s planting times. (For instance, Hawaii celebrates Arbor Day on the first Friday of November, and Alaskans celebrate it on the third Monday in May.)

Julius Sterling Morton, an avid tree planter and enthusiast, created Arbor Day, which, much like Earth Day, is a holiday that celebrates nature. Its purpose is to encourage people to plant trees, and many communities traditionally take the opportunity to organize tree-planting and litter-collecting events on or around the holiday. Morton found it particularly pleasing that schools across the country began celebrating Arbor Day by dedicating the trees they planted to special people.
