Brookfield Parks and Recreation

Brookfield's Parks and Recreation Department provides events, programs, and activities.

One function of the Brookfield Recreation Department is to organize community events for the residents of Brookfield. Annual events that we host include Battle of the Bands, Summer Concert Series, Outdoor Movie Nights, Independence Day Celebration (parade and village picnic), and the Holiday Celebration; other events change throughout the year and the details are available on this page. Many of our events are free of charge and all are open to Brookfield residents and non-residents alike.

Due to a recent power surge from a suspected lightning strike, the control panel at the Ehlert Park splash pad sustained damage and the splash pad will unfortunately not be open this weekend.

Staff are currently working with contractors to assess the damage and complete repairs as quickly as possible. We understand this is disappointing with the warm weather approaching, and we appreciate the community’s patience and understanding while repairs are underway.

We will provide an update as soon as additional information and a reopening timeline become available.

Are you a local band or solo artist looking for a chance to perform and gain exposure? We’re looking for family-friendly acts to kick off our Music on Grand concert series in downtown Brookfield this summer!

We’re offering 30-minute opening sets on the last Saturday of each month, June through September at 12:30 PM,1:30 PM, and 2:30 PM.

What’s in it for you?
• Gain exposure performing in the heart of downtown Brookfield
• Help create a lively atmosphere that supports local businesses
• Sound and stage provided
• No fee to participate

🌞🎨 Give Your Little One a Summer to Remember at Camp Budding Brookies! 🎨🌞

Camp Budding Brookies offers a fun-filled half-day summer program for children ages 3 to 5, featuring games, songs, stories, crafts, and outdoor play based on a different theme each week.

🕘 Camp hours: 9 a.m. to noon

📍 Choose from two locations:
• The Water Tower, 3840 Maple Ave.
• The Rec House, 3401 Elm St.

Families can sign up one week at a time and select the schedule that best fits their needs: 2, 3, or 5 days per week.
