With June right around the corner, it’s time to renew your 2026-27 vehicle sticker!

In May, all vehicle owners registered to a Brookfield address should have received a renewal notice in the mail. Please remember that all vehicles registered to a Brookfield address — whether housed in the Village or not — must display a valid 2026-27 vehicle sticker by June 30.

Did you know? Revenue collected from vehicle sticker sales goes directly toward maintaining Brookfield’s local streets.

The Brookfield Police Department today announced the results of its Memorial Day 2026 “Click It or Ticket” enforcement campaign, which focused on increasing seat belt use and keeping roads safe during one of the busiest travel periods of the year.

Funded through federal highway safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation, the campaign resulted in the following enforcement actions:

• 8 seat belt citations issued
• 1 suspended/revoked license action
• 1 uninsured motorist citation
• 37 speeding citations
• 2 distracted driving citations

The Brookfield Police Department reminds motorists that traffic safety remains a shared responsibility. Buckling up, obeying speed limits and staying focused behind the wheel help keep everyone safe on our roads.
