Information for the national book foundation summer reading adventure came in the mail and is being distributed to our library locations for anyone who wants to sign up. You can also sign up online, link is in our bio. Tag us and show us what your reading and the adventures you are enjoying. Here are some of the ways you can enter to win prizes from National Book Foundation.

Megan Gersch Little Library will be participating in The National Book Foundation’s third-annual Summer Reading Adventure! If you loved summer reading challenges as a kid or want to try one out for the first time, you’re invited to join us for bookish fun all summer long. Complete activities—ask a bookseller for a reading rec, borrow a book from a Little Free Library, read outdoors—for a chance to win prizes!

Readers that submit a Summer Reading Adventure by Wednesday, August 26 will be entered to win book subscriptions, e-readers, ice cream, and more, including the grand prize trip to the 77th National Book Awards Ceremony in NYC. All Adventurers will receive a discount code to Bookshop.org and free audiobook credit from Libro.fm.

We’ll have printed Summer Reading Adventures at our little library locations while supplies last, or you can download and submit your Adventure at nationalbook.org/adventure. Link is in our bio!

A sneak peek at some new titles coming to the shelves of Megan Gersch Little Library. A huge thank you to the Lagrange Library for the great selection of books at their book sale a few weeks ago!! I can’t wait to stamp them with Megan’s logo and get them on our shelves for the community to enjoy.

Before and after picture of our rainy day restock at our Peachwave location. We are 1 shelf shy of being completely restocked with new titles. 9 huge bags of books were added last night and we have more coming tonight to fill the empty shelf (just couldn’t fit anymore in my car last night) Stop by this weekend and check out the newest additions to our library and grab a book or two to cozy up with on this rainy holiday weekend. 📚

🌻 Big News for the Reed Memorial Library Backyard! 🌻

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that exciting changes are coming to our outdoor space! Thanks to an incredibly generous donation from an anonymous funder, alongside a wonderful donation from the Rotary Club of Carmel, Reed Memorial Library is officially creating a brand-new Discovery Garden!

Imagine a vibrant, beautiful space right in our library backyard designed for you to:

📖 Sit, relax, and get lost in a great book

👋 Gather safely and connect with neighbors

🌱 Explore, discover, and learn right outside the Library

This garden is going to be a true community treasure, and we can't wait to watch it grow with you. Talk about the perfect place to spend an afternoon!

Help us celebrate Little Free Library’s birthday! Little Free Library became a nonprofit on May 17, 2012, launching a journey to make books accessible to everyone. May 17th has been declared National Little Free Library Day, making this milestone even more special.
