Farewell and Thank You, Mayor Kimberly Roman 💛

As Mayor Kimberly Roman’s tenure comes to a close, we pause to honor a leader who has touched the hearts of so many in Parkside. For decades, Kimberly has been more than our mayor—she has been a friend, a mentor, a neighbor, and the very heartbeat of our community.

From organizing toy drives that brought smiles to children during the toughest times, to delivering Christmas gift bags and orchestrating Easter Bunny drive-throughs, Kimberly’s compassion has turned ordinary moments into lasting memories. She didn’t just lead; she showed up—whether volunteering with and leading the Recreation Committee, supporting our first responders through heartfelt fundraisers, or cheering on students and families at every opportunity.

Her dedication extended into every corner of our community: from championing Parkside Elementary, the Boy Scouts, and Girl Scouts, to supporting Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA) and local veterans’ organizations. She inspired projects like her grandson Daniel’s Junior Council Memorial Garden and created programs such as Parkside Street Cleaning—small acts that left a big impact.

Even in her daily life, Kimberly’s service was personal and tangible. Every morning, she greeted children as the crossing guard at East Elbon and Blossom Boulevard, ensuring their safety with a warm smile and a caring word. That simple act of love embodies the essence of her leadership: always present, always compassionate, always for the people.

Mayor Kimberly Roman leaves behind a legacy built not just on achievements, but on heart. Parkside is safer, stronger, and more connected because of her tireless devotion. We will remember her warmth, her kindness, and her unwavering commitment to every family, child, and neighbor she served.

Thank you, Mayor Roman, for everything. Your legacy will live in the spirit of Parkside for generations to come. 💛
