Everyday Brookhaven Fire Company firefighters and EMT's will at a moments notice, set aside their personal interests to respond to a variety of calls, not to mention the countless hours spent training and fund raising.

Members of Brookhaven Fire Company were honored to attend Northley Middle School’s 8th Grade Moving Up Ceremony this afternoon .

During the ceremony, we had the privilege of recognizing the recipients of the Chris Kangas Memorial Scholarship Award, presented to three outstanding students.

This evening, Engine 52 responded to two motor vehicle accidents with entrapment. First, to assist Rocky Run (46) and Middletown Township (50) Fire Companies located at the 1300 Block of W. Baltimore Pike. In Middletown Township. Secondly, to assist Aston Township Fire Department (17) located at Aston Mills Rd. & Diamond St. in Aston Township.

This evening, Quint & Engine 52 responded to assist Rocky Run Fire Company (46) & Middletown Township Fire Company (50) on a Residential Working Building Fire on the Unit Block of Anvil Ln. In Middletown Township. Crews had active fire in the walls. Quint 52 landed as the First Due Truck Company and assisted in opening up the walls. Middletown Car 1 had the Command.

Officers and members are asking our comunity to join us in congratulating just two of our outstanding Junior Firefighters, Marquise Waller and Chase Jackson, on graduating from the Delaware State Fire School’s Fire Academy.

Over the past several months, Marquise and Chase completed 168 hours of training covering several critical topics, including structural firefighting, vehicle rescue, and hazardous materials mitigation. They have also earned certifications in ProBoard Firefighter I & II, Hazardous Materials Operations, and Vehicle Rescue Technician.

Chase Jackson is also a second-generation firefighter, and will soon be joining his father, Ryan Jackson, as an interior firefighter.

Congratulations to Marquise and Chase on this incredible milestone. Your dedication, hard work, and commitment to the fire service are something to be proud of. Keep up the great work!
