Lincoln County, Mississippi The county was created by the legislature in April 7, 1870. It was named for Abraham Lincoln. The county is southwest of the state capital of Jackson.

Lincoln County comprises the Brookhaven, MS Micropolitan Statistical Area, which is included in the Jackson-Vicksburg-Brookhaven Combined Statistical Area. Lincoln County is a great area for industries seeking reasonably priced land, reliable energy resources, great transportation infrastructure, an experienced labor force, high quality of life and modest cost of living.
