Minnesota Republicans might not think keeping kids fed is a priority, but DFLers know how important it is for our kids to have reliable meals.

Minnesota’s Universal School Meals program ensures all public school students get free breakfast and lunch. But starting Saturday, Donald Trump’s shutdown means over 152,000 Minnesota children who rely on SNAP will lose access to meals when they aren't at school.

House DFL Leader Zack Stephenson: Governor Walz has been an excellent governor of Minnesota. I'm pleased to support him.

Working together, we’ve made sure kids are fed in school, parents can spend time with their babies without worry, and now he’s leading the charge to make Minnesota safer from gun violence.

Governor Walz has walked side-by-side with the Legislature in times of crisis. From protecting Minnesota from the chaos and cruelty in Washington to navigating heartbreak here at home, we know Governor Walz is no stranger to leading in tough times.

While we have accomplished a lot in the last eight years, we know we still have work to do to make sure every Minnesotan can afford a bright future.

My House DFL colleagues and I look forward to campaigning with Governor Walz across the state, winning back a majority, and doing this important work together!

I’m Zack Stephenson. I represent parts of Anoka County in the House. My DFL colleagues elected me as the next Leader of this team, so I wanted to reintroduce myself to you.

I’m a dad, a husband, a prosecutor, and a Vikings fan. I’m honored to have the support of my colleagues, and I’ll never forget why we’re here.

Speaker Hortman is irreplaceable — as a leader, a strategist, a colleague, and a friend. She was the most consequential Speaker in Minnesota history.

I want my daughters to grow up in a Minnesota where every kid has the opportunities I did. But too many people in our state don’t feel that same sense of possibility.

I look forward to getting to know you better and seeing you on the campaign trail!
