REMINDER - Dane County's monthly outdoor warning siren test will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 2 at around noon.

Sirens are tested monthly to ensure they are ready when needed. Monthly tests may be canceled if there is a risk of severe weather.

Please contact DCEM at [email protected] if:
-A siren did not sound at all at noon
-A siren did not sound for three minutes

Outdoor warning sirens in Dane County are activated when the National Weather Service issues a Tornado Warning or a Severe Thunderstorm Warning with the "destructive" tag. Learn more about the outdoor warning siren system at https://em.countyofdane.com/notification-system/sirens
