The Brooklyn PD serves as the guardians of safety in the vibrant community of Brooklyn, Indiana

09/11/2026

On September 11, 2001, our nation was forever changed.

Today, the Brooklyn Police Department pauses to remember the 2,977 lives lost, the first responders who ran toward danger while others fled, and the countless families whose lives were changed forever.

We remember the firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMS personnel, military members, dispatchers, and ordinary citizens who demonstrated extraordinary courage in our nation’s darkest hours.

Twenty-five years later, we honor their sacrifice by refusing to forget.

🇺🇸 We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸
