The Brooklyn Brownstone School is committed to empowering tomorrow’s community advocates to become catalyst of change in their environments, through service learning. Students will learn to be independent critical thinkers and to work productively within a diverse group of learners to improve their community, through academic excellence. In collaboration with families and community partners, we pr

ovide students with authentic learning experiences where they develop skills as scholars, advocates, artists, community and environmental stewards. We prepare students to meet and/or exceed standards so that they may enter and succeed in the high school and post secondary schools of their choice. We are committed to curriculum that has a proven track record of ensuring a strong academic base on which students can build higher order thinking skills that will help make them lifelong learners. In addition, we work everyday to instill the Brooklyn Brownstone School Core Values: Curiosity, Commitment, and Community.

A wonderful Martin Luther King Jr Day to all! We are hoping everyone in our Brownstone community and all across the country are taking time today to reflect on the teachings of Martin Luther King Jr and how we can live his legacy today and every day.

Check out our PTA account for resources on where to find MLK Day of service activities, a YouTube link where Kid President explains Martin Luther King to a kid audience (3 min), and a 10-minute Sesame Street episode of Martin Luther King. What other resources/tips/activities will your family be practicing today? Please share in the comments!

The Great Brownstone Bake Off and Holiday Market is happening next Friday, November 17 in the gymnasium. Bring cash for raffles and shopping, but most importantly, bring your appetite! 🍴 | $1 tastings, $5 raffles, support local businesses, and lots of holiday family fun!

TBBS families & staff can bring their items to drop-off or dismissal at the MacDonough Campus on Thursday Oct 26.

The countdown is on for one of our favorite TBBS traditions: The Fairy Godmothers Present: Trunk-or-Treat! Please send in your $5 to room 302 in a sealed envelope labeled with your child's name and class. Tickets will NOT be available at the door on the day of the event. We look forward to seeing you all there! | No scary costumes, please. 🎃

Come join for our first Brownstone Night Out of the year, happening Tuesday, October 24 Dick & Jane’s starting at 5:30 pm. Come enjoy drinks, food, raffles, mingle with our TBBS community, and support our recess funds with 20% of TBBS tabs going back to the recess need. Can’t make it? The TBBS PTA is partnering with local business Dick & Jane's Cocktail Bar] to host a parents night out on Monday, Nov. 14!

Mingle, enjoy drinks and raffles, and help raise funds for our amazing school!

A portion of all food & drink sales (5-7 PM) will be donated to the TBBS PTA. Many thanks to Dick & Jane's Cocktail Bar] for their support!
