Brooklyn Kiwanis Serving our children in our community and in our world!! J. Howard Field, of the Brooklyn Club, was considered the first Lt. Governors respectively.

The Metropolitan Division, a precursor to the Brooklyn Division, was officially formed on September 1, 1950 at the NY District Kiwanis 33rd Annual Convention in Buffalo, New York. The Division was comprised of the Brooklyn and Staten Island Clubs and included; the New York City Club, the Staten Island Club, the Williamsburg Club, the Highland Park Club, and the Bush Terminal Club. Governor and pre

sented the division for formation. In 1950, Herb Onash, the Williamsburg Club, became the first “official” Lt. Governor of the Metropolitan Division. In 1951, LG Don Mumford, of the New York City Club, served and he went on to hold the high office of NY District Governor in 1953. Mumford ultimately became Kiwanis International Trustee in 1958-1962. In 1951, Dolph Koehler, of the Bush Terminal and in 1953, Art Anderson of the Staten Island, served as Lt. Kiwanis - the Bensonhurst Bay Ridge Club having been formed on June 11, 1952. LTG Gabe Kirschenbaum, Williamsburg, formed the Manhattan West and Richmond County Clubs during his term during 1954.

This event is to not only honor these pillars in our community, but we will be raising money from this event for **You Gotta Believe**, an adoption agency that helps older children that have a harder time, get adopted. They are doing God's work finding forever homes for these children.

We are proud to announce and celebrate the 9th Annual Veterans Fishing Trip by the Gravesend Kiwanis Club of Brooklyn. It was a wonderful day on the water celebrating our veterans. A great big thank you to the many supporters, volunteers, donors and fellow Kiwanians who made this day possible. Today, a huge difference was made in the lives of many. Thank you!

It is with deep sorrow that we share the wake information of our longtime member Frank D' Amico Jr.
Frank was a second generation Kiwanian, and an integral part of Liberty Kiwanis.
He was a past club Vice President, President, and currently was a member of the board of directors.
Frank epitomized the Kiwanis Sprit. Always looking to assist ones in need.
His passing is a tremendous loss for his family. His loving and dedicated wife Jonny, The Liberty Kiwanis Club, and all neighbors and children in need of assistance.
He was a gem of a man. This is a loss for all.
