IMPORTANT UPDATE: Courtyard Work Day Postponed & Cardboard Call-Out!

Our upcoming Work Day is being postponed. Our primary goal for that day is moving crushed slate into the courtyard, which is a HUGE undertaking! We want to ensure we have the logistics perfectly in place before we gather the troops.

In the meantime, we are shifting gears!

Our students and teachers are working hard to prepare the courtyard using a process called Sheet Mulching.

What is Sheet Mulching?

It’s a "no-dig" gardening technique where we layer organic materials—like cardboard and compost—directly on the ground. This suppresses weeds and builds incredibly healthy soil before we lay down landscape fabric for a long-term, weed-free barrier.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

To make this happen, we need A LOT more cardboard. If you have large boxes (think appliance or shipping boxes) taking up space in your garage, we will gladly take them off your hands!

Cardboard Requirements:

Tape and staples removed (if possible)

Clean (no oily pizza boxes, please!)

Non-glossy/non-coated

Please drop donations off at the gym door entrance toward the end of the sidewalk in the dismissal area.

To show support for Mental Health Awareness Month, students are allowed to wear Green on the days of their presentations.

Why Wear Green?

Green is more than just a color—it's the international symbol for mental health awareness. Representing fresh starts, optimism, and energy, wearing green (or even adding a touch of it to your space) makes a bright and bold statement: I care about mental health!
