Brookside Emergency Services Building Open Today, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Dear Mendham Township Residents,
With the continued power outages and extreme heat, the Brookside Emergency Services Building, located at 1 Cherry Lane, Brookside, will be open to Mendham Township residents today - Sunday, July 5th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
If you are still without power, please feel free to stop by to cool off, take a shower, charge your phone or other essential devices, or simply get a break from the heat.
JCP&L continues to work to restore power to residents across Morris County and throughout New Jersey. We know how difficult it is to be without power, especially in this heat, and we want to make sure our residents have somewhere nearby to go today.
Please share this information with your neighbors, and continue to check in on anyone who may need some extra help, especially our older and more vulnerable residents.
As cleanup and restoration efforts continue, please keep the following in mind:
*If you see a downed power line or a tree blocking a roadway, do not approach it. Please call the Mendham Township Police Department’s non-emergency line at (973) 543-2581 and press 0.
*Please reserve 911 for true emergencies.
*If you are using a generator, always operate it outdoors and well away from windows, doors, and garages. Never use a generator, gas stove, kerosene heater, or open flame indoors due to the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning.
*If you need assistance or would like us to check on a neighbor, please contact the Mendham Township Office of Emergency Management at [email protected].
Our Police Department, Fire Department, First Aid Squad, Department of Public Works, and Office of Emergency Management continue to work through the impacts of the storm and help our residents however they can.
