Today, the Bracken County PVA office continue updating pictures on Dutch Ridge Road from the AA Highway to Route 8 and all roads off of Dutch Ridge.

Deputy Lynn Darnell and Mark Pribble will be in a white Yukon clearly marked with Bracken County PVA. They will not need entry inside any homes, garages, buildings, etc.

They will be taking EXTERIOR photos ONLY. If you have any questions/concerns, please call the PVA office at 606-735-2228.

KRS 132.220(3) ... The Property Valuation Administrator, his employees or employees of the Department of Revenue may physically inspect and revalue land and building in the absence of the property owner or resident. The exterior dimensions of buildings may be measured and building photographs may be taken; however, with the exception of buildings under construction or not yet occupied, an interior inspection of residential and farm buildings, and of the nonpublic portions of commercial buildings shall not be conducted in the absence or without the permission of the owner or resident

The Annual Courthouse Cookout will be held @ the Bracken County Courthouse lawn on Tuesday, June 2nd, 11am-1pm. All proceeds will go to the Bracken County Cancer Care Club & Bracken County Shop with a Cop.

Reminder: The Annual Cookout will be held on Tuesday, June 2nd.

Both groups are equally important and need the community's support.

Our local cancer group, Bracken County Cancer Support, gave out $15,125 last year to help people with transportation costs in getting their treatments for cancer. Without the community we could not do this.

Please mark your calendars, come out and have lunch while supporting both Shop with a Cop and Bracken County Cancer Support.
