The road clean up will be the whole month of April. We have a lot of youth organizations that will be picking up trash along our roads in Bracken County. Be aware and please drive with caution!

Bracken County Road clean applications are available for non-profit groups for trash pickup in April. Applications will be taken until March 22, 2024. Please call 606-735-9960 and leave your call back info.

PVC water pipe and drywall are not recyclables and are not accepted at the recycle bin locations in Bracken County.

Driver's, please use caution, as school organizations, county organizations and church groups will be cleaning sides of the roads randomly throughout the whole month of April. The Month of April is one of our road clean up months through the Litter Abatement Grant, applied for by the Bracken County Solid Waste Coordinator - Jimmy Arthur. "Keep Bracken County Clean, Green, and Beautiful."

March 1st— Judge Teegarden was able to accompany Solid Waste Coordinator, Jimmy Arthur, to the county training for Division of Waste Management Grants in Frankfort. This was an update on State funding and regulations and all grants available through their department. Lisa Evans is always on hand to assist Bracken County in our Solid Waste Department and with our recycling grants.
