The City of Brooksville Blood Drive is happening today Tuesday, August 18, from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM at City Hall!

The City of Brooksville Department of Public Works will close early at 1:00 PM on Friday, August 21, due to a scheduled power outage at the facility.

The outage is necessary for electrical work associated with the installation of a new generator transfer switch, which will help improve the facility’s emergency power capabilities.

The Department of Public Works will resume normal business hours on Monday, August 24.

We appreciate the public’s understanding while this important work is completed.

Customers may continue to make utility payments and submit new service requests online through the City’s website during the closure:

🚧 TRAFFIC ADVISORY

Motorists are advised to use caution and slow down near the intersection of Shanye Street and Cook Avenue.

Cook Avenue is currently reduced to one lane of traffic due to a water main break.

Please use caution when traveling through the area until further notice.

🚧Road closure for TOMORROW August 12th, 2026🚧

East Avenue, from Suncrest Drive to Oakdale Avenue, will be closed from 7:00am until 1:00pm, on Wednesday, August 12th, 2026. The closure is due to utility work for the sewer main line.
