At the Monday, September 14th, 2026 regular City Council meeting, the City of Brooksville proclaimed September 17–23, 2026, as Constitution Week.

Constitution Week is a time to recognize the importance of the United States Constitution and the principles it established, including individual rights, the rule of law, separation of powers, and a system of checks and balances.

The City was proud to recognize the Annuttaliga Chapter and Winding Waters Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), who received the proclamation on behalf of their organization.

The DAR works to preserve the history and spirit of those who helped achieve American independence while promoting informed citizenship and community involvement.

Thank you to the Annuttaliga and Winding Waters Chapters for their continued dedication to preserving our nation’s history and educating our community about the importance of the Constitution.
