The Bracken County Health Department will be closing at 2:00pm today, Tuesday, May 19th. We will reopen with our normal hours tomorrow at 8:00am.

Bracken County Middle School students recently received hands-on tourniquet training from Nicole Cracraft and Andy Holloran from the Bracken County Health Department!

Students learned how to respond in an emergency and how to use the Stop the Bleed kits located in every classroom, which include shears, gauze, and tourniquets.

This learning experience connects directly to our Portrait of a Learner competency of Responsible Citizen by preparing students to help others in an emergency, act responsibly, and make a positive difference in their community.

We are proud of our students for building skills that truly matter—and could one day save a life!
