💚 Messages in the Foundation, Hope in Every Corner 💚

One of the most meaningful moments of our groundbreaking journey happened long after the ceremony ended.

During the groundbreaking for the future home of You Thrive Children’s Advocacy Center, we invited attendees to write messages, prayers, blessings, and words of encouragement for the children and families who will one day walk through our doors.

This week, as the foundation was being poured, those special notes were carefully placed into the concrete—becoming a permanent part of the building itself.
Messages like:

"Please bless this Children's Advocacy Center and allow children and families to leave with peace and love."

"May the Lord always guide you and bless you."

These words of hope, healing, faith, and love are now literally embedded into the foundation of a place that will serve children impacted by abuse, neglect, and trauma for generations to come.

As you watch the video and see the photos, you'll witness more than a construction milestone. You'll see a community coming together to build something far greater than a building. You’ll see the hopes, prayers, and commitment of countless supporters who believe every child deserves safety, healing, and a brighter future.

Thank you to everyone who took a moment to share a message. Your words will forever be part of the foundation upon which hope is built.

A huge THANK YOU to the Hernando County Tax Collector’s Office and the incredible citizens of Hernando County for your generosity and support of the children we serve at You Thrive Florida’s Children’s Advocacy Center! 💙

Thanks to your snack drive donations, our shelves are stocked with comforting snacks for children and families who come through our doors during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Something as simple as a snack can provide a sense of comfort, care, and normalcy when it is needed most.

We are so grateful to Amy Blackburn for organizing this effort and to every community member who took the time to donate. Your kindness demonstrates what makes Hernando County such a special place—a community that comes together to support and protect its children.

Today was a day we will never forget. A dream 18 years in the making . 💙

We officially broke ground on the future home of You Thrive Children’s Advocacy Center!

What began in 2007 in two small portables at Kennedy Park has grown into a vision that will soon become an 11,000-square-foot facility dedicated to protecting children, supporting families, and providing hope and healing to victims of abuse in our community.

This milestone would not have been possible without the incredible support of our community, partners, donors, staff, board members, MDT partners, and elected officials who believe deeply in our mission.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia for championing this project and helping secure the $2.5 million appropriation that made this dream possible. Because of his leadership and commitment to children, this building will proudly bear his name.

We were honored to receive a proclamation from the City of Brooksville last night recognizing April as Child Abuse Prevention Month. 💙

This meaningful acknowledgment highlights the importance of standing together as a community to protect our children, support families, and raise awareness about child abuse prevention. Every child deserves to grow up in a safe, nurturing environment—and it takes all of us to make that a reality.

We are grateful to our city leaders for shining a light on this critical issue and for their continued support of our mission. Together, we can make a difference.
