Please join us in congratulating Captain Dan Wolfe as he celebrates 21 years of service with the Brookville Fire Department!

Today marks an important milestone in Dan’s career, but his connection to the department began long before he was officially hired in 2005. Daniel was a presence for many years, both as a cadet, and as a kid who just hung around the fire station.

In addition to his responsibilities with the Brookville Fire Department, Dan serves as a career firefighter with a busy area fire department, where he currently holds the rank of Assistant Chief.

Balancing two fire service careers along with family life requires tremendous dedication, and we are grateful that Dan continues to make time to serve his hometown community.

For more than two decades, Captain Wolfe has been a valued member of our organization, providing leadership, experience, and a steadfast commitment to those we serve.

Thank you for your 21 years of service, dedication, and leadership. Congratulations, Captain Wolfe!

Please join us in congratulating Captain Chad Ferguson on his 19th work anniversary with the Brookville Fire Department!

Captain Ferguson officially joined the department 19 years ago today. In addition to those years of dedicated service, he is one of several current members who began their fire service journey as a cadet while still in high school.

As one of our five full-time employees, Captain Ferguson plays a vital role in the daily operations of the department. Daily he works with Chief Fletcher to oversee day-to-day operations and department activities. His responsibilities include coordinating daily staffing and serving as a Fire and Life Safety Educator, where he has a tremendous impact on our community through efforts focused on preventing emergencies and reducing the loss of life and property.

Captain Ferguson is also committed to his own professional development and is currently enrolled in the Ohio Fire Executive Program.

When he is not serving the community, Chad enjoys supporting and participating in the sporting activities of his sons.

We are grateful for Captain Ferguson’s continued dedication, leadership, and commitment to both our department and his hometown. Please join us in thanking him for 19 years of outstanding service and wishing him continued success in the years ahead!

Please join us in congratulating Lt. Josh Gwin on his work anniversary! Josh joined BFD 13 years ago after moving to Brookville. A fresh-faced full-time Firefighter/Paramedic with a local department, Josh cautiously joined us - unsure about the whole "local part-time fire department thing".

Fast forward to today - Josh is successfully raising his family, working for us as a Lieutenant, and serving his career department as a Captain. With a little grey hair and a really cool mustache, you will find few that embrace being a Fireman more than Josh. Thank you for continuing to serve the community you live in!

Please join us in congratulating Firefighter Cam Cook - he completed his third year of service with the Brookville FD over the past weekend. Prior to the past three years with us as a certified firefighter, Cam participated for more than three years in our Cadet Program.

In addition to working as a full time public safety dispatcher in a neighboring county, Cam also volunteers as a firefighter in his nearby hometown.

Please join us in congratulating Capt. Jordan Schoening - his work anniversary was this past week (Thursday 4/29). Jordan joined BFD 11 years ago and supervises our EMS Operations. This assignment is no easy task as 80% of our emergency activity relates to EMS.

Jordan is a full-time Lieutenant with an area fire department and always busy working on something. You would be hard-pressed to find a more committed professional. Jordan and his wife are raising their family in Brookville and we appreciate his willingness to serve his home community.
