What an exciting day at our school! 📚🐭✨

After more than a year of waiting and anticipation, students finally got the opportunity to meet beloved children’s author Laura Numeroff today! Author of the classic ‘If You Give a Mouse a Cookie’ and so many other favorites, her visit was a special experience our students have been looking forward to for a long time.

We are so honored to have been able to contribute to this memorable event alongside our incredible school. Mrs. Thomas, Mrs. Dobberstein, staff, teachers, families, and community have put so much effort toward bringing this opportunity to the students. This was an enormous moment that inspired imagination, excitement for reading, and a lifelong love of books. 📖💙

On Wednesday, National Nurses Day, the PTA had the privilege of celebrating Nurse Dafler and her upcoming retirement after 43 years of incredible service and dedication.

For more than four decades, Nurse Dafler has cared for, comforted, and supported generations of students, staff, and families with compassion and kindness. Her impact on our school community is truly immeasurable, and we are so grateful for the love and care she has given throughout the years.

Please join us in thanking Nurse Dafler for her remarkable career and wishing her all the best in this exciting new chapter! 💙

🚌 We started the week by celebrating our *incredible* bus barn employees and bus drivers for Ohio Bus Driver Appreciation Day yesterday. Thank you for getting our kids to and from school safely every single day. We appreciate you more than you know! 🫶

We also kicked off Teacher Appreciation Week by treating our amazing teachers and BES staff to donuts 🍩 to start their day on a sweet note.

Today, the fun continued with a creative twist… teachers got to make their own custom pens! ✨🖊️

We’re so grateful for the opportunity to celebrate our teachers and staff and show our appreciation for all they do to support our students each day 💙.

We’re excited for the rest of the week!
