πŸ“šπŸ’š

Back in May, United Way of Franklin & Ripley Counties had the opportunity to participate in Mental Health Day at Batesville Primary School by reading The Way I Feel and talking with students about emotions, self-awareness, and the importance of expressing our feelings in healthy ways.

Thank you to the Coalition for a Drug Free Batesville and Kiwanis for inviting us to be part of a day focused on supporting the well-being of local children. Partnerships like these help create opportunities for important conversations and remind young people that they are seen, heard, and valued.

Strong communities begin with strong connections, and helping children understand and navigate their feelings is an important part of building a healthy future for all.

Belonging isn't something we feel, it is something we create πŸ’šπŸ’™
The "You Belong Here" campaign made it on WRBI Radio 103.9
We talked about why belonging matters and how small moments of connection can make a bigger difference than we realize.
From coffee shops to classrooms, it's been exciting to see this message begin showing up across our community.

Something exciting is growing from this campaign! πŸ’™πŸ’š
We just met with school leaders today, and what started as a simple idea around belonging is turning into something bigger.
Students will be engaging in their own ways over the coming weeks, and we're already talking about how to expand this even further as we head into the new school year this fall.
Because belonging isn't just something we talk about for a month, it's something we build over time!

πŸ’šπŸ’™Happy Teacher Appreciation Week πŸ’šπŸ’™
As we talk about belonging across our community this month and for many of us, that started with a teacher.
A teacher who made us feel seen.
A teacher who believed in us.
A teacher who helped us feel like we belonged.
πŸ‘‰ Take a moment and share a teacher who made that impact in your life.
Let's fill this space with appreciation for the teachers who created spaces where students feel seen, supported, and like they belong. That kind of impact lasts far beyond the school day. We are so grateful for the educators in Franklin and Ripley Counties, thank you for all you do!
