Yes! There is a United Way in Ripley County! 💙💙

You may be surprised by just how much United Way is already doing in Ripley County.

Sometimes our work happens quietly, through partnerships, investments in local organizations, connecting resources, and helping good ideas grow.

But the impact is very real.

From helping local food programs meet growing needs, to providing brand-new winter coats for children, putting books into the hands of incoming kindergarteners, supporting local nonprofits, and working to bring new resources like Neighborhood Bridges to Ripley County — we are committed to showing up and investing right here in our community.

And we're continuing to build.

Sometimes helping our neighbors means knowing who to call.
Through our United Way network, United Way of Franklin and Ripley Counties Indiana was able to connect with United Way of Greater Cincinnati to help meet immediate needs for children impacted by the recent flooding.
United Way of Greater Cincinnati generously donated 61 backpacks filled with school supplies 51 for elementary aged students and 10 for middle and high school.
We're incredibly grateful for their willingness to step in and help. This is what it means to Live United, communities connecting resources, sharing what they have and helping one another when its needed most.

A little joy for your Facebook feed. 💙📚

We loved getting these photos from one of our local kindergarten classrooms! Thank you Mrs. Kolb! Earlier this month, 534 incoming kindergarten students across Franklin and Ripley counties received a book and family activity materials through our Strong Starts for Kindergarten project.

Seeing those books actually in the hands of kids is the best part. ❤️

We're grateful for the businesses, volunteers and schools who helped make this possible — and for the teachers who are already making these new kindergarteners feel right at home.

Strong starts matter. And so do moments like these. 💙

Disaster relief hub

IDHS' August Disaster Resource Hub is now available. The hub serves as a comprehensive resource center for individuals seeking state and federal assistance and updates related to the severe weather events that began on Aug. 11.

The hub also includes the application for the State Disaster Relief Fund (SDRF), specifically for Aug. 11 events. Impacted Hoosiers may qualify for emergency aid grants of up to $5,000. This fund is designed to help families secure essential items like clothing and uninsured medical devices while they are displaced from their homes.
