Antioch VFD volunteers hold the same certifications you’ll find in any career firehouse, because our community deserves the best.

When the tones drop, titles don’t matter. Skill, training, and teamwork do.
We are thankful for our personnel who have taken many hours of their time to achieve these certifications.

We appreciate all the support we receive from our community, they are what keep us motivated the most. ❤

We have officially entered into a tornado watch by US National Weather Service Birmingham Alabama.

We will be monitoring the weather and will open the Prudes Creek Missionary Baptist Church basement, our safer place if the weather permits. We will update regularly.

Do you know what a watch vs warning means?

Watch: We have all the ingredients for a tornado to happen.
Warning: Those ingredients have came together to and radar or visual tornado has been confirmed.

While we still have time before the weather hits us we ask you please use this time wisely to double check you have everything you may need.

• Helmet
• Closed toe shoes
• Emergency bag packed, (Medications, water, non perishable snacks/food items)
• Flash lights, extra batteries
• Check your weather radio, if you do not have one be sure to plan out your options for updates

In our area we know the weather can be unpredictable, please respect the polygon and be weather aware tonight.

We will update to the best of our abilities if we have any road closures.

⚠️Significant tornado parameters for Wednesday evening are concerning. This is new data from high-res refresh model. We need to be alert for a tornado risk from Alabama west across Mississippi Wednesday evening. Help spread the word to be weather alert! Greatest risk 6PM-Midnight.

Antioch Fire Department has had a bunch of canned goods donated. We will be putting them in the community donation box at the Antioch Church over the next few days as needed.
