The Broomfield Police Department is once again partnering with Broomfield Public Health and Environment and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) for National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. Bring your expired or unused medication free of charge today, Oct. 24 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. inside the lobby of the BPD located at 7 DesCombes Drive. Appointments are not necessary. Stop by at your convenience.

Community members can look forward to more open parking spots and reliable public charging next time you visit the Health and Human Services Building. CCOB will implement new tiered rate fees at all four of the building's Level 2 charging stations starting Jan. 4, 2027. This update reduces long dwell times so you can more easily access an open plug during a public health clinic appointment or a visit to the Workforce Center.

Rates include $0.15 per kWh charging from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m., $0.25 per kWh charging from 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. and a $0.40 per minute dwell fee after a 30-minute grace period. Every dollar collected covers utility costs and routine station cleaning and funds future community charging expansion.
