Broomfield, it's time to get ready to vote!

Voters who are heading back to school, are traveling or are away from “home” can ensure their mail ballot arrives at the right place by verifying their mailing address online. Multiple addresses can be saved for future elections until you decide to remove them. Verify your mailing address information by visiting GoVoteColorado.gov.

Rest in Power!

Some people put their ideas out in the world and hope they catch on. Not Gloria Steinem.

Through her writing, her speeches, and her organizing, she demanded that the world pay attention to all the ways that women had been — and in some cases, still are — treated unfairly. And she helped awaken us to problems like domestic violence, the lack of affordable child care, and unfair hiring practices that had too often been ignored or overlooked.

Gloria really was larger than life. Today, generations of women are walking a little taller and aiming a little higher because of what she fought for and achieved. Michelle and I are thinking of her family today, and everyone — women and men — who were inspired by her towering example.

The old saying "play stupid games; win stupid prizes" comes to mind...

If you're cheering ICE today because they are going after other people who are not you, then you really don't understand how 'secret police' work. When you build a secret police force that is above the law and accountable to no one except "the leader", you've created an insidious cancer that grow through your society. Eventually, they might come for you. We need to put an end to this now, because none of us are safe as long as the ICE gestapo is above the law. There's a reason so many of our constitutional rights are designed to protect us from policing powers.

In a normal time and place—not that many years ago—a candidate like Victor would have been laughed out of the race.

His claim that, at seven years old in Mississippi, his abusive stepfather forced him to shoot and kill a man is seriously called into question by police, who say they can find no record of such a crime.

His grandiose claims of humanitarian exploits have likewise been challenged, contributing to his reputation for telling Walter Mitty-style stories that strain credulity.

And now, in this video, we see something else voters should take seriously: a candidate who can't control his temper and lashes out when challenged.

None of this should be normalized. The bar for public office should be higher. The GOP’s “picker” is broken.

Here's one small example of how Blue Broomfield is reinvesting tax dollars into our community: We upgraded a playground! Sometimes it's not the big giant big ticket projects. It can just be an extra adult in your local school, another bus route, a pothole filled at the end of your street, or more social workers to help people struggling in your community get to a better place. All these things add up to build the communities we want to live in.

Where's your tariff refund from when the courts struck down some of these illegal import taxes? Where's your DOGE check? We know where it went, it went into the pockets of billionaires and giant corporations who sucked up to Trump, NOT TO YOU. Our lawmakers are trying to fix this, but we need more Dems in Congress to really make it happen.
