Mayor Ray Bourque Proudly serving as Mayor of the great City of Broussard, LA. Ray Bourque is a Broussard native with deep roots in the community of Broussard, LA.

He first became interested in local politics several years ago after being consulted by friends and neighbors about concerns they’ve had on many different issues. Ray served as a Broussard City Councilman from 2011-2018, and has been Mayor of Broussard since January 2019. Ray has been married to Mitzi Bourque since 1993, and they have two children, Jake and Hailey Bourque.

On Tuesday, it was a pleasure to speak about the ease of doing business at city hall and our outstanding amenities in Broussard at the Louisiana Economic Alliance for Development-LEAD Annual Economic Development Summit in Lafayette. We have positioned our great city to be an excellent location for businesses looking to establish here by staying true to the Broussard Blueprint. The city remains committed to providing public safety, creating a high quality of life, and attracting more economic development.

I had a great talk with Joe Cunningham and Winky Dinky Dawg on KPEL News this morning. We discussed the major achievements during my administration (Envision Broussard downtown redevelopment, Broussard/Youngsville Connector, Public Service Complex for Police, Fire, and Public Works, Water System Improvement Master Plan, Drainage System Improvement Master Plan), what's ahead for Broussard over the next four years (Broussard Charter Academy, Court Resort pickleball/tennis facility at the Broussard Sports Complex at St. Julien Park, Ochsner Lafayette Hospital emergency center, Acadian Ambulance regional headquarters, and our big Halloween parade, Monsters on Main, that will be held on October 1.

It was a pleasure to moderate the panel discussion with members of the Acadiana Legislative Delegation at the Broussard Chamber of Commerce luncheon held at the Broussard Event Center on Wednesday. State Senator Brach Myers, State Representative Josh Carlson, and Beau Beaullieu, District 48 State Representative presented an update on bills passed by the Louisiana State Legislature this past session. We have strong representation for Broussard in Baton Rouge. I want to thank them for their hard work.
