🎉Addie and Alice recently celebrated their second birthday! Their families met Olive earlier this year at library storytime. The kids bonded over books and songs, becoming friends. Before long, they realized "two of them are birthday buddies!"

Nancy, Olive's grandma, brought some cookies for them to share as a pre-birthday celebration. She shared with us, "I love them to pieces! When I see Alice, she runs away from her mom toward me yelling, 'Nancy!'"

We love watching library friendships take root and grow. Happy belated birthday, Addie and Alice!

Beep! Beep! Introducing our new Bookmobile Manager, Sarah! She has worked at several locations but was most recently at our Ashwaubenon Branch.

She tells us, "The Brown County Library has always been my favorite place. I used to use my library card for free bus fare on Wednesdays during the summer to go to the Central Library. You always have someone to talk to, learn from, and a world to explore at your fingertips with the turn of the page. I am so excited to bring that library joy to as many people as I can. Please come and say hi if you see the Bookmobile out and about."

Check out our website to find out where the Bookmobile will be next. Whether you make a point to visit one of the stops or stumble upon the Bookmobile in the wild, we can't wait to meet you!

Arik, Avila, and Gwendolyn came into the library prepared with an instant camera, stuffed animals, paper and pencils. Their plan? Write a book. They staged photos with their stuffed animals and paired the photos with text and illustrations to write a short book. When they shared their book with us, we knew we had to share it with you, too!

These young authors asked to leave their book at the library so others could read it. It's now available upon request at the Kress Family Branch. Just ask at the front desk!

Our Ashwaubenon Branch's last open day is June 6 as they begin the move to the new library.

While we look ahead to the next chapter, we’re celebrating the many moments that brought us here. Tell us your favorite memory of the Ashwaubenon Branch Library (big or small) and add your story to our history!

What do librarians do when it's storytime break? They take their show on the road! Our Youth Services Librarians have been busy promoting our summer reading programs and events at area schools and with class visits to the library.

We want those kids counting down, not to the end of the school year, but to the beginning of summer at the library. We can't wait to see you!
