Good morning, library friends!

Story Time registration is now open for our 2026-2027 year.

The program, for 3 & 4 year old children, runs with the BISD calendar, and will meet every Wednesday, at 10 AM, beginning September 16th.

Stop by the library to register, or call Sadie at 806-637-3848, for more information.

We are in the final days of Summer Reading. We will continue to take reading logs through Thursday, and Friday we will do the drawing for the Summer Reading Program grand prize.

Good morning, library friends.

We have had AC installers here this week, working diligently to install a new AC unit. As of right now it is already in the 90s outdoors, & our building has no access to air conditioning, as they are working. Because it's really hot inside the building, I've decided it's best to close the library to the public today. We are so sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. If anyone needs to renew books, remember you can do so online with your card number, and you can also call us, or send me an email, and we can renew your books for you.

We appreciate your patience & understanding.💓

Good morning, library families!

We want to remind everyone, although the summer program hour is done, we are still accepting reading logs through the summer. Remember each time they submit one, kids get a small prize, and they get their name in the Grand Prize bucket. Even simply visiting our library also gets them an entry in the bucket.

Thank you to all the families that participate in our program. Bringing kids to the library not only helps them develop their literacy skills & keeps them reading, when they aren't in school. It also instills a sense of belonging...not to mention creativity and adventure! All these things are so beneficial in their growth. What a beautiful gift you're giving your children! 📚✨️💛

We had so much fun at the park this morning!🥳🤩 Thank you to all our families who came out and played. Today was our last Summer Program Hour, but we still want kiddos to read through the summer. So we are still taking reading logs through the month of July. Also, remember each time kids submit a reading log or come into the library, they get to place their names in the bucket for the grand prize. This will be out at the front counter, through July, as well.

Thank you to City Manager, Jeff Davis, for helping us figure out logistics of our program for this morning, especially last-minute! We know the parks department is getting the park ready for tomorrow's festivities, and we are so appreciative Jeff let us set up at the park, so our library families could play for a while. 😊 Thank you also to Parks & Recreation Director, Gilbert Vasquez, for helping us figure out where to put the bounce house!

⭐️⭐️UPDATE: We will be set up near the Coleman Park party house. Look for the jumper & that's where we'll be.⭐️⭐️

Our last Summer Program hour will be this Wednesday, July 1st, 10 AM at Coleman Park. We will have a bounce house set up for all kids who have been registered for the program, K-5th grade. We wanted a fun play day at the park, to close out the program. 🥳

We will have release forms for parents/guardians to sign.

As soon as we find out the set-up location, we'll update this post with that information.

Tomorrow is the day! 🥳

For all our kiddos that have been registered & are part of our Summer Reading Program, we will meet at 10 AM, at Coleman Park, by the Amphitheater.

Come have some fun, to close out our Summer Program. 🤩
