There was an Officer involved shooting today that happened on Ingram Street. The Brownsboro Police Department, Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, and the Department of Public Safety responded. There is currently no danger to the public. Texas Rangers are on scene and are handling the situation going forward. That is all the information that will be released at this time.

Well, it is that at that time of year again!! Brownsboro School District will start classes this week on Thursday August 13th. We want to ensure the safety of the students walking or riding bikes to and from school. Let’s all practice awareness and be mindful of our students when school is in session.
Attached is a map of the City of Brownsboro and the highlighted streets are the school zones for the city streets. The times that the school zones will be enforced are mornings from 7:15am until 8:30am, and afternoons from 3:15pm until 4:15pm. These times are effective Monday through Friday when students are required to be in school and exclude school related holidays.

Driving sober is the winning goal this summer
Drivers are 25 times more likely to cause a fatal crash when combining alcohol and THC


AUSTIN – The safest decision happens before you turn the key.
Driving after drinking alcohol, using THC or mixing substances puts everyone on Texas roads at risk. With summer travel, World Cup matches and Independence Day celebrations coming up, the most Texan thing we can do is look out for one another. That starts with driving like a Texan: kind, courteous and safe, and always planning a sober ride home.

A mother’s greatest fear, realized
When Sue Beatty dropped her daughter Carly off for her sophomore year at Texas A&M, she didn’t know it would be the last time she’d see her. Just a few weeks later, the 19-year-old was struck and killed by an impaired driver while walking home.
“She had her whole life ahead of her,” said Beatty. “Carly did not deserve what happened to her. She had hopes and dreams that have now ended…because someone chose to drive impaired.”
Beatty wants drivers to remember that in a day and age where options like rideshare and public transit are available, there is no reason anyone should ever drive impaired.
Impaired driving comes at a cost

No one gets behind the wheel intending to cause harm, but 1,254 people died on Texas roads because of impaired driving last year. That’s three Texans killed each day. And the dangers are even greater if drivers combine substances. In fact, when alcohol and THC are used together, drivers are 25 times more likely to cause a fatal crash.

“There is no safe level of impaired driving,” said TxDOT Executive Director Marc Williams. “Avoiding a crash or arrest doesn’t make the choice any less dangerous. The risk is real and the consequences can be permanent. Avoid the ‘what ifs’ and always drive sober.”
It’s also important to remember that causing a crash isn’t the only potential outcome when driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Getting a DWI can result in time-consuming legal hassles and fines and fees up to $17,000.

Drive Sober. No Regrets.
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will travel the state in a former beverage delivery truck retrofitted to deliver sober driving messages. The truck will feature a variety of engaging activities to teach participants about the dangers of impaired driving.
The Drive Sober. No Regrets. campaign also aligns with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s heightened law enforcement period to keep roads safe this summer. From June 19 through July 6, increased patrols will be on the lookout for impaired drivers across Texas to minimize DUI-related crashes, injuries and fatalities.

Ordinance 2025-0401A, that was passed by the Brownsboro City Council on September 29, 2025, mandates that all residential and business properties within Brownsboro, Texas, clearly display official 911 address numbers on their structures to improve emergency service locating, with potential penalties for non-compliance.
Mandatory Placement: Property owners must display official 911 address numbers on the building, or on the side of their driveway if the residence is not seen from the roadway.
Purpose: The ordinance ensures that emergency responders (911) can quickly locate residences and businesses.
Compliance Deadline & Fines: Structures must display numbers by April 15, 2026, with non-compliance potentially resulting in fines of up to $500/day.

Good Morning Brownsboro, I pray that everyone is staying warm today. Here is an update of the city roads. Ingram and Donna streets are unable to be traveled even with chains on. There is a thick layer of ice also on HWY 31.

The Brownsboro Police Department will soon begin an aggressive Warrant Round-Up for individuals with outstanding municipal court warrants. Individuals with outstanding warrants may be arrested at their residence, place of employment, school, or any other location.

Good morning, Brownsboro, concerning the police activity in town last night there is no reason for any alarm. The Police Department had a person run from a traffic stop into the wooded area behind Saint Louis Street. The Henderson County Sheriff’s Department, the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Chandler Police Department assisted with looking for the individual with dogs and drones. Unfortunately, the subject was not taken into custody last night. The area was thoroughly checked and there is no danger to the community.

Good Morning Brownsboro, It has been brought to the attention of the Brownsboro Police Department that a person has been going to local businesses and residences soliciting money stating that a family member has died or been hurt. This is not true as the family has reached out to me and advised that it was not true.
