Job Posting: Street Department Laborer
Town of Brownstown
The Town of Brownstown is seeking a reliable, hardworking individual to join our Street Department as a Laborer. This is a full-time position responsible for various public works tasks. The ideal candidate will be able to perform physical labor, work in all weather conditions, and be a team player.
Key Responsibilities:
• Mowing, w**d eating, and spraying in public spaces
• Snow removal during winter months
• Pothole repair and general road & alley maintenance
• Equipment, maintenance and minor repairs
• General structure maintenance & repairs
• Tree limb trimming and removal
• Painting street markings and other infrastructure
Requirements:
• Ability to operate equipment such as lawnmowers, w**d eaters, snowplows, and other machinery
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Strong attention to detail and a safety-first mentality
• Valid driver’s license
• Must be available for on-call rotation and occasional overtime as needed
• Ability to pass a drug test
