🟢🟢🟢🟢ATTENTION 🟢🟢🟢🟢

The Jackson County Highway Department will be hiring a truck driver!

Must have a Class A or Class B CDL and must live within 30 minutes of our location.
The duties will include ditching, plowing snow, hauling /spreading stone, replacing culverts, paving, mowing side ditches and manual labor! This isn’t just a truck driving position you will be expected to help where needed! Occasional overtime is required!

We work summer hours from April to October :
4-10 hour days Monday -Thursday
We work winter hours from November to March:
5-8 hour days Monday-Friday

We offer paid time off (PTO), paid uniforms, and paid holidays. We also offer insurance after 30 days.
Starting pay is $22.86 per hour with an increase to $23.45 at 6 months.

Our paving projects have began. Dave OMara Contractors have began paving some of our roads.

We would like to remind EVERYONE :

PLEASE OBEY THE ROAD CLOSED signs!!!!

It costs anywhere from $85,000 to $100,000 per road to pave them. If you drive around the road closed signs and there is damage to the new pavement we will contact the sheriff’s dept!

We just ask that you use caution and patience!
Find another route if you come upon a paving crew!!

We would like to express a heartfelt Thank you to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department and the Brownstown Police Department for the awesome es**rt of one of Jackson County’s historic bridges to the Highway Department! This will eventually be placed at the Jackson County Fair! 😊
