๐ŸšจReminder: Indiana 4-H Quality Livestock Care Certification is Required!๐Ÿšจ

All Indiana 4-H members exhibiting beef cattle, dairy cattle, swine, sheep, meat goats, dairy goats, poultry, or rabbits must complete their annual Indiana 4-H Quality Livestock Care Certification before exhibiting at the fair.

Certification can be completed by:
โœ… Attending an in-person Indiana 4-H Quality Livestock Care Workshop
OR
โœ… Completing the online Youth for the Quality Care of Animals (YQCA) program

๐Ÿ“Jackson County 4-H is offering three in-person workshop opportunities:

๐Ÿ—“๏ธ Thursday, June 11, 2026 โ€“ 9:30 AM
๐Ÿ—“๏ธ Wednesday, June 17, 2026 โ€“ 6:00 PM

โš ๏ธ Registration is required for all workshops. Registration for each workshop closes one week before the workshop date, so don't wait to sign up!

Important reminders:
โ€ข Quality Livestock Care certification must be completed annually.
โ€ข Members may attend any approved Indiana 4-H Quality Livestock Care training, including those offered in other counties.
โ€ข Members choosing the online YQCA option must submit their completion certificate to the Jackson County 4-H Office.

We are excited to welcome Katie to the Jackson County 4-H team as a Summer Assistant this year! โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿ€

Katie is currently attending Purdue University where she is majoring in English Education with a minor in Theatre.

Katie is excited to work in the office to continue growing her knowledge of 4-H while giving back to a program she grew up participating in.

A few fun facts about Katie:
๐ŸŽญ She loves helping with and participating in shows at the Jackson County Community Theatre
๐Ÿ’› She is heavily involved in Purdue Universityโ€™s Dance Marathon program

We are excited to welcome Viv to the Jackson County 4-H team as a Summer Assistant this year! โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿ€

Viv is currently attending Marian University where she is pursuing a double major in Logistics and Supply Chain Management with a minor in Industrial Organizational Psychology.

As a former 4-H member, Viv is excited to contribute to an organization that provided her with so many opportunities throughout her youth experience.

Drew is currently attending Purdue University majoring in Social Studies Education and is excited to give back to the Jackson County 4-H program after being a dedicated 10-year 4-H member himself.
