Update 6/13/25 10:40 am: Jeremiah Bragg is now in custody following an outstanding effort by multiple agencies who partnered together to locate and safely arrest him. Wanted on Warrants Wednesday

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and the Indiana State Police are actively looking for Jeremiah Bragg, age 36, who most recently lived in Jackson County, Indiana.

You see….Mr. Bragg conveniently failed to appear for a court hearing yesterday following his February 2024 arrest just outside of Brownstown.

In that case, Ol’ Jeremiah allegedly walked into the Jackson County Bank Branch in Brownstown, pointed a firearm at employees, and left after receiving cash that sure didn’t come from his bank account. After he left the bank with money, he fled from the area in a vehicle.

Unfortunately for him, his route of travel with his two companions led them all right into the hands of Brownstown’s finest. Brownstown Officers with the assistance of Jackson County Deputies stopped the vehicle on Vallonia Road.

Bragg allegedly exited the vehicle holding a handgun and the cash. He soon thought better of it, dropped the gun, and was taken into custody.

Detectives from the Indiana State Police-Versailles Post led the investigation. Jeremiah Bragg was ultimately charged with 13 felonies, with the most severe charge being a Level 3 Felony Armed Robbery and three counts of Level 3 Felony Criminal Confinement while armed with a deadly weapon.

If anyone knows the whereabouts of Jeremiah Bragg, please contact the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (812)358-2141 or the Indiana State Police-Versailles Post (812)689-5000.

Anyone who is found to have been assisting Bragg while he is wanted on these serious accusations could also potentially face criminal charges.

It is important to note that charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
