🗳️ What’s on Your November 3, 2026 Ballot?

In addition to federal, state, and local candidates, Indiana voters will be asked to vote on two statewide public questions this November.

Public Question 1
This proposed constitutional amendment would allow judges to deny bail to certain defendants charged with crimes (other than murder or treason) when:
• The evidence is strong,
• The defendant poses a substantial risk to another person or the community, and
• No conditions of release would reasonably protect public safety.

Public Question 2
This proposed constitutional amendment would allow city and town court judges to live either in the county where their court is located or in an adjoining county, rather than requiring residence only in the county where the court is located.

📍 At this time, no local public questions have been certified for Jackson County for the November 3, 2026 General Election. If any local public questions are added before ballot certification, we will share that information here.

As Election Day approaches, the Jackson County Clerk’s Office will continue providing nonpartisan information to help voters understand what will appear on their ballot.
