We are looking forward to putting on the best fireworks display yet this year, but we are asking for your help. Please refrain from lighting off any personal fireworks down in Pioneer park, especially during the main fireworks display. We have put a lot of time, effort and dollars behind this year‘s display and we would appreciate your help minimizing distractions and potential fire hazards while our firefighters focus on putting on the best show this town has seen! Thank you neighbors, we sincerely appreciate your help and look forward to seeing you on the fourth!

🛑 Backyard burning in Linn County will close on June 1st. 🛑

Burning conditions and regulations can change depending on weather, fire danger and air quality. Residents are encouraged to stay informed.

The Linn County Fire Defense Board is made up of local fire chiefs and chief officers who are authorized to make decision on behalf of their respective agencies.

Good drill tonight. Working on roof venting. Structure fires can create incredibly hot interiors filled with combustible smoke. Roof venting with chainsaws is necessary to release that material and allow firefighters to enter the structure to make an interior attack.

You might see a helicopter landing near the station on Blakely tonight. Please don’t be concerned, we are training with Life Flight tonight. Although it can be exciting and interesting please avoid the area near Station 61 while we conduct our training. Thank you neighbors!
