Due to the severity of damage, caused by yesterday’s storms, a State of Emergency has been declared for Centerville Borough. The Borough asks that residents please refrain from traveling except in the case of an emergency.

The Borough also asks that residents call 911 if they, or their family members, are in need of Emergency assistance.

Both the Richeyville VFC and the Denbo Vesta Six VFC have opened their doors as Charging Stations for residents who may need to charge Medical Equipment or cellphones.

The Borough asks that everyone please remain patient during this time as the Road Crew and Fire Companies work diligently to ensure the safety of our residents.

⚠️ Community Assistance Notice ⚠️

Due to the widespread power outages throughout our area and with no estimated time for power restoration at this time, the Richeyville Volunteer Fire Company remains open and operational on generator power.

If you or a family member rely on medical equipment that requires electricity, or if you simply need a place to charge your cell phones and essential devices, we are here to help.

Please call the station at 724-632-6390 before coming to ensure one of our volunteers is available to assist you. Once confirmed, feel free to stop by the station.

We understand these outages are creating challenges for many residents, and we are committed to helping our community however we can during this event.

Please continue to avoid downed power lines, use caution while traveling, and check on your neighbors, especially elderly residents and those with medical needs.

PART-TIME SECRETARY

Centerville Borough, Washington County, is accepting applications for a part-time (16–20 hours per week) employee to assist with borough administration and the day-to-day administrative and financial operations of the Borough. Applicants should be proficient in Word and Excel, be detail-oriented, and have strong organizational skills. A secretarial and/or accounting background is desirable, as well as customer service experience. Per Centerville Borough Ordinance 02-10, Borough residents may not perform any activity that causes hazardous waste, including but not limited to grass, snow, weeds, to be deposited onto any of the various roadways of the Borough of Centerville.
Centerville Borough asks that residents refrain from discharging grass clippings onto Borough roads as this poses serious safety hazards to motorized vehicles.
