We love YouthBuild Philadelphia Charter School, and it was awesome to see this in the news this morning. We are YouthBuild and we DO make a difference. Shoutout to Principal Davis!

Hundreds of students and educators from YouthBuild Philadelphia Charter School filled Broad Street for a march Thursday to celebrate their choice to reclaim their education. Reporter Wakisha Bailey has the story.

For three decades, YouthBuild Brownsville has grown alongside cdcb and today, we’re proud to continue growing as we step into something once only imagined: our own accredited high school.

Abigail and Briana are standing in front of our history while representing exactly why we’re building the future.

It already feels like Christmas in August at YouthBuild Brownsville! Our students are hard at work on this year’s Holiday Village - Brownsville - Dean Porter Park cottage, and they’re learning from one of the best — our Pathway Success Manager, Mr. Ibarra. His experience, skill, and genuine care show up in every lesson, every measurement, every nail, and every moment he spends guiding our youth building upon a legacy of service to our community!

Under his mentorship, our students aren’t just building a cottage… They’re building the confidence and craftsmanship that will one day allow them to build their own homes — and OWN them.

And our Seniors are already earning their industry certifications, taking major steps toward our mission: preparing students for high‑paying, high‑demand jobs and long‑term homeownership.

The future is bright — and it’s being built right here in Brownsville. 🎄🔨🏠✨

A huge shoutout to Mr. Peña’s Advisory, with Jesus Abrego, Benjamin Basler, Kevin Chapa, Valeria Dominguez, Ricardo Gonzalez, Evelyn Hernandez, Jakob Hinojosa, Mauricio Pena, Ivan Rodriguez, and Nathan Zamora, for being our attendance winners this week hitting 93% attendance! 👏 And congratulations to our Student of the Week, Javier Beltran!🌟

We’re proud of the way our students are showing up, putting in the work, and building their futures from day one.

It’s been a great first day of school! We are so looking forward to carrying on this journey to preparing our students to high paying, high demand careers and to become homeowners.
