956: Stand up for Boca Chica. A proposal to rename our historic Boca Chica to “Cyber Beach” is under consideration, despite clear opposition from local leaders and community members. Boca Chica is more than a name—it reflects our heritage, identity, and deep-rooted history. Decisions about our landmarks should not be made without the voices of those who call this region home.

Residents are encouraged to email [email protected] before 2:00 PM today to express their opposition and preserve the name Boca Chica.

Had a great time attending the Andy Bowie Park Improvements Project Ribbon Cutting Ceremony! This project is a wonderful investment in our community and a testament to what can be accomplished when leaders work together to improve the quality of life for our families.

Investing in our parks and public spaces creates places where families can gather, children can play, and memories can be made for generations to come. I'm excited to see our community continue to grow while preserving the places that make South Texas so special.
