Last week, Cameron County Economic Development was proud to partner with Gobierno del Estado de Tamaulipas to promote Cameron County International Bridge System and our six modes of transportation at The Logistics World Summit & Expo in Mexico City. These types of efforts reflect our commitment to advance logistics, manufacturing, and global trade in our region. We share this common goal with our Economic Development partners who also represented at the Summit; Rio South Texas Region and Port of Brownsville - Texas.

At yesterday's State of the County address, Judge Treviño and each of the Cameron County Commissioners shared the success stories of this past year and answered a series of questions regarding infrastructure, drainage, economic growth, and overall preparations for continued countywide development, specifically prioritizing water demands.

What a month! October had us moving, learning and sharing all around. Chicago Illinois for Area Development Magazine’s Women in Economic Development Forum. Mexico City in collaboration with COSTEP RIO SOUTH TEXAS REGION, Harlingen Economic Development Corporation and Industry ® at INDEX Nacional 50th year celebration convention. Harlingen for Rio Grande Valley Partnership Commercial & Investment Tour, and Let’s Get Down to Business event. And finally wrapping up the month in San Antonio with Texas Economic Development Council (TEDC) Annual Conference. A full month of partnerships, growth, strengthened ties, and new connections and leads.
