You may have noticed that the water level in Beckman Lake at Cadiz Springs has been lowered by 2 ft, this is to help facilitate some repairs to the earthen dam with the intention that the lake will be raised in the spring to the original level which has not been seen since 2017.

After walking the trail around the lakes, with an electronic bat monitor, below are the results. Hope to have a bat education outing in spring.

9/2 7:42PM – 7:52 PM: 4 x little brown bat encounters.

9/3 7:47PM – 8:42 PM: 4 x eastern red bat and 1 hoary bat encounter
