It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dear friend, Sgt Greg Parrott.

Greg dedicated his life to serving others. The last several years he served as a Mental Health Deputy with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office and Center for Life Resources. He touched countless lives through his compassion, kindness, and unwavering commitment to helping those in need. Even while courageously battling cancer, Greg continued to inspire those around him with his strength and faith.

Today, our community has lost a truly remarkable man, but his legacy of service, generosity, and love for others will never be forgotten.

Please keep his wife, Courtney, their children, family, friends, and all who knew and loved Greg in your prayers during this incredibly difficult time. May they find comfort, strength, and peace in the days ahead.

If you are able, please continue to surround the Parrott family with your love, prayers, and support. They have always been there for our community, and now it’s our turn to be there for them.

Rest easy, Greg. Thank you for your service, your friendship, and the difference you made in so many lives. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered. 💙🖤

As we close this week, we recognize and appreciate the dedicated men and women who serve behind the walls every day. Our jailers work tirelessly to maintain safety, order, and professionalism in one of the most challenging environments in law enforcement.

Thank you for your patience, strength, compassion, and commitment to serving our community with integrity. Your hard work often goes unseen, but it never goes unappreciated.

This week, the Brown County Sheriff’s Office Association proudly recognizes our dispatchers during National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week.

To our dispatch team- we know you by name, by voice, and by the steady presence you bring every single day- thank you. You are the first voice people hear in their worst moments and the lifeline for our deputies in the field. Your calm under pressure, quick thinking, and genuine care for others make a difference more than words can express.

We see the long shifts, the tough calls, and the emotional weight you carry, and we are truly grateful. Brown County is safer because of you.

Thank you for all you do- we appreciate you more than you know. We hope each shift enjoys your Underwood’s meals!
