Hey everyone, been a while since I posted. Things are different now. As I go into my last year with the Texas Army National Guard, I can remember so many good memories with cadre, students and most of all that started this program. MG Joyce Stevens, the epitomy of a great leader told me to build a course that would train our forces here in Texas and with her help we did! The Readiness NCO Course started 1 January 2011. She was a leader that understood the needs of the full time force. Train our people that affect the Guard the most. She was amazing, following her MG William Smith took over and continued to inspire NCO’s in the great State of Texas. After that leaders like BG Greg Chaney, MG Norris all knew the importance of the program. Since the beginning we built courses like Readiness NCO Course, the HR Course, the Medial Readiness NCO Course, the Supply Orientation Course, the Officer in Charge Course, the Company Commander First Sergeant Command Team Course, Battaion Commander and Command Sergeant Major Team Course, and the Executive Officer Course. Great leaders with a great vision! I would like to thank a few people that help me develop this program from the beginning Bryan Senkirik, Frank Arrellanes, and Jeff Nash. What a program! We have trained over 2000 AGR Soldiers and 100 command teams during this time period. So many people to thank who taught as Subject Matter Experts (SME). I don’t want to miss anyone so it is better off I don’t list any! You all are in my mind. This year all that is being taught is the Supply Orietation Course and possibly Command Team Course. I hope this program blessed you all that attended as much as it blessed me for building it. My retirement date will be 28 February 2026! Thank you all!!
